Thoracoscopy - examination of chest cavity

Thoracoscopy in Kiev is produced by animals for examination of thorax organs. The procedure is carried out using a thoracoscope, an optical device which is introduced into the pleural cavity via a puncture.

Features of the diagnostic method

During thoracoscopy, the patient is under general anesthesia and is connected to an artificial lung ventilation unit. Diagnostic video thoracoscopy helps to identify pleural effusions and neoplasms and, when oncological processes are detected, to determine their extent and histological type.
